Hanging in there

So, I’m on Day 4 post chemo. (or is it Day 5? Do you count the day of?)

While I don’t feel fantastic, this hasn’t been nearly as bad as I expected.

I woke up at the normal time today and went all day without sleeping – quite different from my weekend. I’m pretty sure I was only awake for about 15% of the weekend. Kudos to Alan for being on complete kid duty, including a road trip to Tulsa.

One last thing…Frankie had her first victim.

Frankie

Me.

I was going for the lotion after a long shower, and I think I jumped about a mile high when I opened the cabinet door.

  1. That’s FUNNY. So your plan to surprise the kids kinda backfired, huh? Poor ole Frankie! Must have scared her too. 🙂

Glad you’re feeling OK. All that rest over the weekend is exactly what you needed. Kudos to sweet Alan for making sure you were able to do that. Do what you can, but most important – take care of yourself first. No guilt allowed. Special circumstances. You can make up for it later on down the road. Big hugs to you.

  2. Glad you’re doing so well. Wise words & good advice from your mother.

P.S. Frankie has a sense of humor, scaring you on April Fools Day. Her timing was priceless! LOL!

  3. Defintely agree with you mother! Take care of yourself first right now with no guilt! You can definitely make it up later. We missed you on Sunday, but I’m so glad you got the rest you needed to tackle this week. Hope it has gone well!

  4. Jenny, I don’t know how you do it. I log in to see if there is anything I can do to help, and I come away with a gift: a smile, laughter, an ‘oh jeez’ moment… but I am in awe! Go #TeamJenny!!
