It’s a great day. A REALLY great day.
As of 2:15 p.m., I am three drains lighter. It’s amazing how much better I feel.
I can’t WAIT to sleep for 7-8 uninterrupted hours tonight.

On Wednesday, it will be three weeks since surgery. That milestone has been pretty implanted on my mind.
Why? Because my doctor doesn’t like to keep surgical drains near implants in past this day.
Today, I am at Day 10 post surgery.
First of all, I want to thank each and every one of you who rooted me on pre-surgery and has sent me well wishes in many different forms post surgery. You all mean the world to me, and each and every one of your messages means the world to me. I actually keep screenshots of all of them. I know. I’m a nerd.
We’re back at MD Anderson for the beginning of the end of her surgeries. There will be another surgery or two, but this is the last big one.
The last big one.
Our day started with a lab visit for blood and a pregnancy test. And guess what, guys … I have news to share!
I’m not pregnant.
The reconstruction saga continues.
After digging up as much research as I could (not much), I turned to my support group for any insight they might have. Through one of the lovely ladies in that group, I was able to talk with a plastic surgeon. She practiced/trained at MD Anderson and now has her own practice in Austin, TX.
