On Sept. 18, Jenny posted her thoughts on the one-year anniversary of her diagnosis.
A few days later my boss asked if Jenny would mind if The Oklahoman re-published the blog post in The Oklahoman in October during breast cancer awareness month.

A quick flashback.
It’s January 16, 2013, in Houston – two days after Jenny’s second surgery, when they removed 23 lymph nodes and ensured there was no cancer left in her body.
On July 3 — at Jenny’s last chemo treatment — Dr. Razaq came to see her while she was hooked up on the infusion clinic. Jenny’s only question that day was about the port.
It’s my turn to post about Jenny’s chemo treatments.
She made it through treatment No. 6 last Thursday. Two more to go!
We made it through another treatment and another weekend.
Jenny had another surgery today.
This time, she was awake the entire time, so I considered letting her live blog the entire procedure. But they said the anesthesia they were going to give her would make her very tired, so we took her cell phone away. Plus, I wanted her to save her energy so she could finish the laundry tonight.
