Today has been about pain management for Jenny.
It really started where I left off with the surgery day timeline from yesterday evening at about 9:30 p.m.

Jenny had another surgery today.
This time, she was awake the entire time, so I considered letting her live blog the entire procedure. But they said the anesthesia they were going to give her would make her very tired, so we took her cell phone away. Plus, I wanted her to save her energy so she could finish the laundry tonight.
Chemo Update…
Well, I guess the update is that there is no update.
Last week (three weeks after we met with our OKC oncologist), I talked with the nurse at OU Cancer Center. I got the vibe that I might have slipped through the cracks a little bit.
I got my drain pulled out today.
Boy, how I’ll miss it.
I’ll miss the stabbing feeling I would get when my shirt tugged on the tubing that was stitched into my side.
Almost a week out from surgery – I’m tired and sore, but I think this surgery was a lot easier than the last one. The pain meds that I’ve been taking, combined with Benedryl for the allergic rash I developed, have put me in quite a zone. I’ve slept A LOT.
Lots of sleep, lots of meds and limited interaction with the outside world can make one feel kind of blah.
We’re home. But it wasn’t as simple as planned.
We planned on leaving Houston at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and being home by late afternoon. But as we fought the morning rush-hour traffic near the Houston Medical District to the Interstate, Jenny was speaking to the triage nurse at the MD Anderson breast center.
